"My own experiences in the Americas have convinced me that a spirituality of liberation is as vital for the North as for the south. Living among the poor of Bolivia, Peru, and Guatemala, I heard an urgent cry for liberation from the forces which keep them in a state of socio-economic slavery. But living, as i have also done, among the wealthy in north american universities.
