But the dogmatic definition of the Trinity is a beginning as well as an end: 'the living tradition of the faith of the Church,'as Fr O'Donnell puts it,'is a constant invitation to reflection.'His own approach is an open one, aware of the difficulties of Catholics and other Christians, and ready always to enter into dialogue with differing views.
