The Religioud Situation,written when Paul Tillich was profesor of Philosophy at the University of Frankfurt, continues to have enormous contemporary value. It is Tillich's contention that we have witnessed in the past decades not the opening stages of the decline of the West, but a concerted revold against the spirit of capitalist society.
